The first thing you need to know is Cloud Nine is more than a feeling – it’s a place. Hand to heart, a real place where people live and visit and enjoy themselves and, because this is the way of places with people, also work. 

Now you might be thinking: Work? On Cloud Nine? Isn’t Cloud Nine supposed to be something kin to heaven? And I’d ask right back: You think joy, community, nourishment don’t take work? Despite humanity’s best efforts, not all work is all bad. And Cloud Nine’s a place you can do good work.

Cloud Nine Caretaker is a solo, journaling game where you play a groundskeeper of Cloud Nine, tasked with caring for a place that elicits elation and well-being in its people and visitors. By answering questions and imagining scenes, you will build the routine of your Cloud Nine caretaker and learn more about them and their home along the way.

As a player, your goals are to find the significant in the everyday, to nurture joy and resilience through caring for your community and yourself, and to live in the extra-ordinary present.
